Children's Day

New Zealand's Children's Day is a national, non-commercial day to celebrate how special and important our children are. Children's Day 2009 is on Sunday 1st March.

KidsFest

KidsFest logoTV2 KidsFest is New Zealand's biggest annual children's festival. Aimed at kids up to the age of 12, there's nothing quite like it anywhere else in the country. 2008 dates were Saturday 5 July to Friday 18 July.

International Children's Book Day

Each year a member country of IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) sponsors an annual celebration of children's books on 2 April, which is Hans Christian Andersen's birthday. This year the focus is on Thailand, and the theme is Books Enlighten: Knowledge Delights, message and poster by Chakrabhand Posayakrit.
