- You would think two versions of Jack Finney’s classic 1955 science fiction/paranoia novel The body snatchers was enough, especially as they were both good (retitled for the screen, Invasion of the body snatchers). This new version was first announced as an adaptation but now it is being touted as something original so who knows. This time around or not, as the case may be Nicole Kidman is playing a Washington D.C. psychiatrist who finds that the mysterious plague that is affecting the behaviour of people is originating from aliens.
