Te Rōpū Reo Māori is the national e-based Māori language club which has been launched by Te Taura Whiri i te reo Māori (Māori Language Commission) with support from the Government through Te Puni Kōkiri.

As a registered club member you will receive ongoing support, resources, technical information and tools to help you succeed in the development of te reo Māori skills.

Panui and e-mail alerts will be circulated on a regular basis to keep you up to date with what is happening out there to support te reo.

The aim of the club is to connect speakers and learners to each other and to the Language Commission — in order to facilitate the regeneration of reo Māori.

New Club members will receive an information pack on the information campaign, "Korero Māori" and a badge which identifies your language level.

Te Ropu Ratonga Māori, the Māori services team here at the library have all joined Te Rōpū Reo Māori and proudly wear our badges to show what level we are at. So check out the website and join so that you can help revitalise reo Māori.
