Anna Paquin

  • Born July 24 1982 in Winnipeg, Canada.
  • Parents - Mary and Brian Paquin, both teachers
  • One brother, Andrew, and one sister, Katya.
  • Family moved to New Zealand when Anna was four years old.
  • Aged eleven when acted in Jane Campion's The Piano (1993). Won Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
  • Followed with the role of the young Jane in Jane Eyre (1996), and Amy, in Fly Away Home (1996)
  • Moved to Los Angeles but limited her film roles while at school.
  • Has performed in stage shows in London and New York.
  • Recent roles include Rogue in X Men (2000) and X Men 2 (2003), 25th Hour, directed by Spike Lee.
  • Now living in New York and attending Colombia University.
