At the Library

Christchurch City Libraries run free programmes to help our customers take advantage of the wide range of resources that we offer. Most of our libraries offer some or all of the following sessions either on a regular or on request basis. Contact us to find out about which sessions are offered at our libraries.

From time to time we also run courses on specific topics e.g. Business resources, wine & food on the internet, etc. These will all be listed on our events calendar. Our learning centres run ongoing programmes for school children and the community throughout the year.

Library Catalogue (Beginner or Advanced)

Discover how to search the library catalogue for your favourite author; how to find library items on topics of interest; and also place your own holds and check your account.

This session will show customers the depth of information on CINCH; how to limit a search to areas, use of keywords etc.

Email

A session to assist customers to open an email account and navigate their way around the screen.

The Internet

An introduction to the internet via the web sites which are freely available on our computers.

Premium databases

A look at our subscription databases - either take a brief look at many as possible or choose one to look at more closely.
