Books for Babies: Comments from Friends of the Library

"It is nine years since I became involved in the Books for Babies programme. I am constantly amazed at the enthusiasm with which the pack is received both by first time mothers and those with older children. Only on very rare occasions is this not the case." – Elizabeth.

"Recently I met a mother who had three children all under the age of five as well as her sister's three infants staying with her. Apparently there were few books available at home so, instead of just one Books for Babies pack, I presented her with copies of the two other titles as well. We also talked about some of the ways of using the books with different ages. The time spent was a bonus for her and for me too." – Sheila.
