The campaign is managed by Land Transport New Zealand, with the support of the Ministry of Health, comprises three main events:
Go By Bike Day is February 27 and will be celebrated in Christchurch with free breakfast giveaways for cyclists at CPIT (cnr Madras and St Asaph Streets) and Canterbury and Lincoln Universities. The Bike Wise Business Battle is a fun inter-business challenge to encourage more people to give biking a go. In past years over 4,000 people have taken part in the Christchurch Business Battle alone (nationally 10,000 took part).
In Ashburton, the Mayoral Challenge will kick off the Children’s Day celebrations, there will be lots of things happening for young people and families at the Racecourse.
