Committee to Protect Journalists- Organisation dedicated to the international defence of press freedom
Commonwealth Press Union (CPU)- The Commonwealth Press Union is an association whose members are newspaper groups (some with several hundred newspapers), newspapers and news agencies in 49 countries of the Commonwealth.
International Center for Journalists (ICFJ)- Dedicated to helping journalists worldwide raise the standards of journalism, especially in places with little tradition of a free press.
International Federation of Audit Bureaux of Circulations
International Federation of Journalists- International umbrella body for journalists' trade unions.
International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC)- Established to safeguard the telecommunications interests of the World's Press. Now its activities are primarily focussed on developing and publishing Industry Standards for the interchange of news data.
New Zealand Community Newspapers Association- The New Zealand Community Newspapers Association Inc is the industry organisation of weekly newspapers in New Zealand delegated with the responsibility to foster, promote and safeguard the interests of community newspapers in New Zealand and to improve and regulate conditions and standards in the industry.
New Zealand Press Association (NZPA)- A co-operative news agency owned by New Zealand's daily newspaper industry.

Nihon Shinbun Kyokai (NSK) - Pressnet Japan Newspaper Publishers & Editors Association- Independent organization representing some 150 daily newspapers, news agencies and broadcasters
